It has been awhile since I have done this hike and I recall it being a fairly easy hike. I told Warren that it is nicely paved and well groomed hike. We decided we would take the stroller with us so if Jacob got tired we could put him in it and push him along. What a stupid idea. Jacob ended up hiking 3/4th the way up and then wanted me to hold him the rest of the way up. Warren gave me a break from holding him, but to be honest pushing the stroller up was not much of a break. The path way is not nearly as nice and easy as I remembered it being. We heard several comments from other hikers such as:
"You have to be very motivated to take your kids hiking"
"Wow their working hard"
"I can't imagine pushing a stroller up here"
I just chalked it up to making the hike more dynamic and a much better work out. Once we got to the top our plan was to put Jacob in the stroller and just leisurely push him down. That didn't work at all, because he wouldn't stop crying for mommy to hold him. So I ended up holding him half way down as well. It was fun to go on a hike and for Jacob to see a real waterfall, but a big lesson learned to leave the stroller in the car!
Looking down from the top! Such a pretty view.
