This was Jacob's first time going to the Clackamas County Fair, let alone any fair. I was so excited to take him. I think it might have been a little much for him, because he was going a little crazy. We first went to a buckaroo breakfast where he nearly ate a second breakfast, then we went to the new butterfly exhibit which was really neat, looked at most the animals, and lastly got to go on his first pony ride.
Right when I walked into the butterfly exhibit a butterfly landed on my head. You can see Jacob trying to poke it with the q-tip.
He loved trying to feed the butterflies, but his technique was not quite there. He would dip his q-tip into the nectar and then poke the butterfly really fast and say, "feeding butterfly" with a big smile. Usually they would fly away from him and he also got a big smile with that and would say, "Butterfly fly!"
Trying to get Grandpa S's butterfly
When we first went to visit the goats we were pushing him in his stroller and two different goats poked their heads out and started chewing on his stroller. Jacob would look at the goat with a mad face and and make a whining noise. Once we let him out of his stroller he was very eager to pet them, but I was a bit nervous about it.
Here's the pony ride. Again he took this very seriously, it's an important task. He cracks me up!
Once he was done he pointed at the white horse and said, "Ride this one". He really enjoyed it. I was bit nervous he might try and ride it like his horse on springs at home, but he did a very good job!
