Sunday Afternoon Walk

We were having a bit of a slow Sunday afternoon so I decided we would go on a little adventure and go on a walk to look at the flowers, pine cones, and whatever else we may come across. At the end of our walk we ended up at this little area that is actually right behind our house. It has several large rocks and made a nice stop on our walk. Jacob had a lot of fun running around looking at all the big rocks and trying to climb them. It actually was a really nice walk. I think I will have to take him back here with the good camera, not my cell phone.

All Dressed

I was taking a shower the other morning and Jacob came into the bathroom and told me that he had to go potty. I told him to take his pants and underwear off and go potty. He has recently learned to get dry underwear if he accidentally leaks in his a bit before going potty. He likes getting his underwear all by himself so much that he wants to put on a new pair every time he goes potty. Of course since I was in the shower and he didn't have me to help get his underwear and pants that he was already wearing back on he went and picked out some news ones to put on. I could hear him working on something and much to my surprise when I got out of the shower he had put his underwear and pants on all by himself, take a look below.

Ta Da, I did it mommy!

Just in case you didn't notice his pajama pants are on backwards and his underwear are on backwards and inside out.

I did put a shirt on him after his photo op, but he ran around the house and played with his underwear exactly how you see them for about an hour. He was so proud of himself, it was pretty cute!

Snow Day!

I finally figured out how to change my template I had about two different backgrounds going on and a template at the same time, which was giving me lack of motivation to work on the blog. So now that I have got it all squared away I will put up a few new posts, starting with SNOW in MARCH! On the news they said we have not seen this much snow in March since 1989. We finally got to get Jacob all dressed up in his snow bib and snow boots that he got for Christmas from Grandma & Grandpa S. He was so thrilled to get out and play. He wanted to push every single truck he had in the the snow and pull his wagon all around in it, but very quickly found out that wheels do not turn very well in the snow. The snow would stick to the wheels and keep piling up until they wouldn't turn anymore, which lead to much frustration. I think we need to invest in a sled! We made a couple snowmen and had a snow ball fight, which was fun.
Grandma S. taught Jacob how to make a snow castle which of course was made to bulldoze down.

Bike Riding

For some reason I became very determined to teach Jacob how to ride his little bike with training wheels. I guess I just feel like he would have so much fun on it once he learns to ride it. I never realized to how difficult it would be to teach a little one how to pedal. I thought if we went out and practice for an hour for a week he would have it down. By the second afternoon of practicing he got the pedaling action down. Now he just has to practice looking up and steering. I am so proud of him!!!!
Sorry the video is side ways, I never remember to turn my phone when I use the video function.

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween!
Unfortunately Warren had to go into work Halloween evening so he did not get to join in on the fun. We were able to spend a little bit of time with him before bed time though.
My mom joined Jacob and I through an Alice and Wonderland tour. It was pretty psychedelic and I think Jacob was a little confused about what was going on. After that we trick or treated down town Canby. Jacob got to see a fire truck and was pretty thrilled about it. We headed back home for some dinner and then to head back out to trick or treat at the houses. Jacob became such a pro trick or treater. He would ring the door bell and say "Trick or treat" pick out his treat and then say "Thank you, happy Halloween, bye bye". It was sooooooooo cute, I could have watched him trick or treat all night. The cutest little cowboy in town! He had a blast, it was so much fun!

Moe Singing

I know this is called Jacob's Tales, but I had to put this video on here. Jacob and I were making what very few would call music, but that is what we call it. I could hear Moe making noise and went to check on him and discovered he was singing (Howling) to the harmonica. I continued to play and to my surprise we have had an unknown American Idol living with us for the past 4 years :)
