Bike Riding

For some reason I became very determined to teach Jacob how to ride his little bike with training wheels. I guess I just feel like he would have so much fun on it once he learns to ride it. I never realized to how difficult it would be to teach a little one how to pedal. I thought if we went out and practice for an hour for a week he would have it down. By the second afternoon of practicing he got the pedaling action down. Now he just has to practice looking up and steering. I am so proud of him!!!!
Sorry the video is side ways, I never remember to turn my phone when I use the video function.

Trick or Treat

Happy Halloween!
Unfortunately Warren had to go into work Halloween evening so he did not get to join in on the fun. We were able to spend a little bit of time with him before bed time though.
My mom joined Jacob and I through an Alice and Wonderland tour. It was pretty psychedelic and I think Jacob was a little confused about what was going on. After that we trick or treated down town Canby. Jacob got to see a fire truck and was pretty thrilled about it. We headed back home for some dinner and then to head back out to trick or treat at the houses. Jacob became such a pro trick or treater. He would ring the door bell and say "Trick or treat" pick out his treat and then say "Thank you, happy Halloween, bye bye". It was sooooooooo cute, I could have watched him trick or treat all night. The cutest little cowboy in town! He had a blast, it was so much fun!

Grandpa and Grandma Saty's Halloween Party

I would like you all to meet Bob the Builder...

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for the fun Halloween party!

Moe Singing

I know this is called Jacob's Tales, but I had to put this video on here. Jacob and I were making what very few would call music, but that is what we call it. I could hear Moe making noise and went to check on him and discovered he was singing (Howling) to the harmonica. I continued to play and to my surprise we have had an unknown American Idol living with us for the past 4 years :)

Pumpkin Scare!

If you have been following the blog you will remember me telling you to take a look at Warren's pumpkin in the background of our pumpkin carving pictures. It had yellow dish washing gloves on each side. Warren put together some pipe and connected it to his air pressure hose. When people walk up he turns his hose on and it makes a loud sound and the gloves fill up with air really fast and certainly frightens most people. Unfortunately he didn't get to use it much on Halloween night because he got called into work. I will post another picture of the pumpkin so you remember what it looks like and then I will post a video of Warren trying it out on Jacob.

Bauman Farms

Grandma Saty took Uncle Tyler, Sophia, Jacob, and I out to Bauman Farms for a morning full of fun! We got pumpkin lattes on the way to set the mood. This was our first time there and I was blown away with how big it was. There were so many activities for kids to do. It just seemed like an endless amount of fun! One of best things about having a little one is getting to do all this fun stuff with them and no one looks at you weird, I love it!

Petting the bunny rabbits

Saw all the school kids petting the cows so he had to run over and join them, so cute!

Sophia venturing down the slide. I got a good one of Grandma S. going down this slide, but I am sparring her :)
Gopher tunnel

He loved these ghosts

Fun times with Grandma!

Jacob and I working our way through the obstacle course

Uncle Tyler helping Jacob up the tires

A hay tunnel....so fun!

They had some pretty big slides here and Jacob conquered them all even the giant tunnel slide. I couldn't believe he wasn't freaked out, always a smile on his face.
Trying out the rock wall. With a little practice I think he could get pretty good at this. He did get above my reach one time and I had to catch him when he fell.

Bee Train!!!!

Of course if there is a tractor he is going to be on it or some where near it!
Thanks for taking us Grandma S. lots and lots of fun!

Fir Point Farms

We went to Fir Point farms. Just Warren, Jacob, and I for a little fun and to pick out our pumpkins. it was a lot of fun. Jacob got to go on a tractor ride, which was sitting in a trailer behind the tractor. Down below you can see he got to get a picture standing on the big tractor wheel. Another great time, it's always so much fun to see how much he enjoys seeing all these new things!

Climbing up onto the trailer for his tractor ride.

Pumpkin Fun!

Let me tell you all, I was so excited for the fall season this year! Since Jacob has been born we have not really got to be involved in much holiday fun...Shanghai just doesn't cut it for us. We let Jacob paint pumpkins while we carved our pumpkins. He really enjoyed it as we did to. He loved seeing the carved pictures with the candles in them at night. It was a fun afternoon!

Getting ready to paint his pumpkin, he was so excited!
He had so much fun doing this!

Are finished pumpkins...take a look at Warren's pumpkin in the background with yellow gloves. We have a funny video of that I will be posting later.
SO MUCH FUN!!!

Jacob is 2!

Jacob turned 2 on September 25th, 2011. His party was such a success. Lots of family and friends, excellent food, great weather, and to boot he got completely spoiled!
We decided to do a train theme for his party, since he just loves choo choo trains. Once I got started I couldn't stop, everything was getting turned into choo choo trains. It was a lot of fun. Jacob had such a blast, a little overwhelmed with all the super fun gifts, I think they will be keeping him busy for years to come! We would like to thank everyone who came and everyone that helped us get this together, we all had a blast!

He did so good blowing his candle out this year, and he devoured the cupcake!

He got so many fun gifts here are just a few of them.

He loves to go on wagon rides!

Again thank you to everyone! We are so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends and to have such a healthy and happy boy!

Roll them, Cut them, and put them in the Oven for Jacob and me!

In preparing for Jacob's 2nd birthday party we made choo choo train sugar cookies. Jacob was so excited to help mommy do this he could hardly control himself. He would roll the dough and help me cut the trains out and then re-roll the trains we had just cut out which lead to a lot of extra rolling. I guess he was going for "Practice makes Perfect!". When he first saw me put the flour on the table and roll the dough out he said, "Making a mess, help mommy clean up mess" Here are a few pictures of our cookies making fun.
All that play dough practice is coming in handy here!
Making the choo choo trains!
I thought this one was cute! I was busy doing something and he came up to me with this oven mitt on one hand and the spatula in the other hand and said, "Get cookies out". Such a good observer!
MMMMMM! The end result after all the hard work, a warm yummy sugar cookie!
