Lets' go Moe!

It was time for another afternoon walk. I got Moe all geared up and was doing a few small things to get myself ready before I strapped Jacob into the stroller. I looked over and saw this......I thought it was so cute! Jacob knew just where to hold it and was all ready to walk Moe himself, what an eager little man :)

Jacob Walking With Some Help

Thought we would share a short video of Jacob's progress with walking. He wants to walk all over the house. We feel he may be a little frustrated he can't do it on his own, but he will be before we know it :)

Random cute pictures

Here are a couple of cute pictures we have taken over the past few weeks. They don't have much significance, just that he's a cutie! The picture where he is sitting on the floor, he is chewing on his toothbrush. I let him play with it for a bit and he ended up carrying it around with him most of the day, he seems to really like it :)

Another swimming day

The rain, thunder, and lightning subsided for a few days and let us get out and enjoy some sunshine. We went with a few others to an outdoor pool near by. It was so much fun! Jacob was very scared in the beginning. Every time his feet touched the water he would take a really deep breath in and start to whimper. I held him on my lap for about 45 minutes while he snuggled on me. A big colorful ball came rolling up and really caught his attention. He just hit it with his hand for about 5 minutes, then I let him stand up holding onto it for about 10 minutes, and then we were able to start walking around the 1 inch deep water for awhile. After he seemed comfortable with that we went to the kiddie pool and hung out in all the different depths of water for a bit until he was comfortable in the deepest part of the kiddie pool. Once he was comfortable it was so much fun. He was walking all around, splashing the water, smiling and laughing at the other kids. We are looking forward to more days like this, this summer!

9 month well baby check up

I brought Jacob in for his well baby check up this afternoon. It was surprising because when they weighed him and took his height measurements they were so shocked. They said his height was almost unheard of at his age, in that he was tall. Once she put his height and weight into the growth chart his height was in the 45% and weight 50%. He has not gained any weight since the last time I posted his weight still 20 pounds. He was 70 cm which is 27.5 inches! She was very impressed with him and how much he has advanced since last time. She was also so pleased to see him so happy since in the beginning things were rough. She kept saying that she thought she could see a funny bone in him and that she really liked his personality. She is going to have me start giving him pro-biotics twice a day to try and help cut down on gas in hopes that it will help him to stop spitting up. All in all he is doing great and right on track with everything.
The countdown has begun........................29 days until we fly out of here :)

I was helping...wasn't I???

I swear Jacob is getting taller and taller everyday. This is great that he is growing so well, but with height comes the ability to reach more things. One evening I was in the living room and heard a plastic bag sound and then the sound of something spilling all over the floor. Moe was in the kitchen with in a matter of seconds crunching away on the dry pasta. Jacob found the pasta drawer and the only bag that didn't have a clothes pin or rubber band around it. He would shake it a bit stop, shake it a bit more stop, and so on until the bag was empty. After that he rolled and walked all over it. I decided I better walk all over it as well, because who knows when I will get a chance to walk all over dry pasta again....I know I sure as heck am not going to dump it all over the floor.
UPDATE:
As of Sunday night Jacob has started babbling. He was on Warren's lap trying to get to the computer and he started smacking his lips a bunch and then out came: "ba ba ba ba". It was so cute Warren and I looked at each other with huge eyes, we were so surprised and have been waiting for him to babble for awhile now. He says ba ba ba and da da da now and he is quite the chatter box. He is starting to wave a lot but doesn't really understand when to wave always. This morning he waved goodbye to Warren when he was leaving for work, such a cutie.
Also this is Big. On Sunday he was standing on the couch and he really wanted to get over to Moe to try and still his rawhide bone once again. He let go of the couch and was standing there for second. Warren was in the kitchen and turned to look and was wondering how he was standing away from the couch all by himself. He then took one step and fell down to his hands and knees. Since then he has started letting go and standing by himself for a few seconds before falling to the ground. He is getting pretty good and walking all over the house with only holding on to one of my hands, but only for a bit and then his feet start to get all tangled up.
Enjoy the pictures, sorry such a long post. This kid is just taken off, something new everyday!!!
